VIP-135 Increase WBETH Supply Cap Summary If passed, this VIP will perform the following action: -Increase WBETH Supply Cap from 800 to 4000. Description Since the supply cap for WBETH is getting reached almost immediately each time its increased, Gauntlet recommends an agressive approach (while still taking into account developing liquidity) is warranted. WBETH has adequate CEX liquidity to justify this increase without introducing significant liquidity concentration risk to the protocol, especially given that its CF is very conservatively set at 50% currently. Further, WBETH price is 1:1 with BETH, both assets' supply balances on Venus are similar currently, and WBETH stands to offer a lot of value to Venus with users implementing a LSD-recursive strategy. Thus, Gauntlet feels a 4,000 WBETH supply cap is justified. This recommendation intends to prevent the supply cap from being hit rapidly after the change. Gauntlet will continue to monitor Venus markets and deliver their next set of recommendations on July 5 to incorporate additional cap adjustments, post-execution of the updated 4,000 supply cap should it be maxed out quickly again. 👉🏻 Vote https://app.venus.io/governance/proposal/135

VIP-133 Enable Tokenomics v3.1 and Allocate Legacy XVS Rewards to the XVS Vault Summary This VIP has for objective the ratification of the previous Snapshot vote: Venus Protocol Proposal: Update to Venus Protocol Tokenomics (3.1) and if passed, it will also allocate legacy XVS market rewards to the XVS Vault Rewards smart contract. Description It has been approximately one year since the last revision to Venus Tokenomics and given the continuing evolution of the market, Venus has re-evaluated and suggested an optimal distribution of income given the protocol’s current and future needs that was voted and agreed to by the community. Also, In preparation for our new Quarterly Buyback and Tokenomics allocation, this VIP Proposal will allocate legacy XVS market rewards to the XVS Vault in accordance with the new Tokenomics. The last legacy XVS rewards allocation was made in the early months of 2022 with VIP-91 for a period of 6 months hence, the necessity to top-up the Vault Rewards for another 6 months period. June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2023 = 184 Days. This VIP will allocate 184 x 1050 = 193,200 XVS to the vault rewards distribution contract. Conclusion The proposed revisions in Venus Protocol Tokenomics are expected to yield positive results for the Venus ecosystem, ensuring a fairer distribution of income and enhancing the platform’s sustainability. VIP-131: Add PancakeSwap integration for simple repay and supply using a different token Summary If passed this VIP will perform the following actions: Ownership of the new contract interacting with PancakeSwap to allow the supply and repay in Venus using a different token will be transferred to Governance XVSStore admin will be transferred to Governance Description Proposed as a part of the Venus V4 Upgrade, we are making the supply and repayment processes easier in Venus, allowing users to use a token that differs from the underlying one. This is achieved by integrating PancakeSwap V2 to exchange these tokens for the required asset before initiating the supply or repay transactions. In this VIP, the ownership of the developed contract will be transferred to Governance. After the execution of the VIP, the UI deployed at https://app.venus.io will be upgraded to support the new contract. Finally, related to VIP-113, this VIP will transfer the control of the XVSStore contract (where the XVSVault rewards are held) to the Governance to allow for a more transparent and on-chain Governance process. We have just released an update for the new frontend containing the next improvements: - Fix an edge case when adding multiple actions through the Create Proposal flow if the action added takes no arguments. - Fix withdrawable amount displayed on Withdraw modal so it can’t be higher than supply balance. - Include VAI balance in total user borrow balance of main pool. - Display total supply, total borrow and liquidity amounts in tokens (on top of their value in USD) on Markets page. - Fix bottom padding of mobile menu to prevent scrolling issues on certain devices. Summary If passed this VIP will perform the following actions: XVS Vault: XVS that has been requested for withdrawal will not accrue rewards from the moment of the request VRT Vault: stop rewarding users since June 15th, 2023, 00:00 GMT, and transfer the ownership to Governance Fast-track and Critical VIP's will be able to pause and resume the XVS Vault, VAI Vault and VRT Vault Description This VIP upgrades the implementation of the three vaults in Venus: XVS Vault, VAI Vault and VRT Vault. This upgrade enables several new features: Proposed as a part of the Venus Tokenomics, when users request a withdrawal in the XVS Vault, those balances will no longer qualify for earning staking rewards, they will be considered already liquid and withdrawn from the vault. Stop rewards to the VRT vault as VRT has been deprecated and will no longer be supported on Venus nor BNB Chain. The last block number where VRT rewards will be distributed in the vault is 29108355 (Estimated Target Date: Tue Jun 15th 2023 00:00:00 GMT). Fast-track and Critical VIP’s are authorized to pause and resume the vaults, following the guidelines of Venus V4. Normal VIP’s will continue being used for regular updates, but from now on the community will be able to pause and resume the vaults quickly.
